MAKE IT A BANNER YEAR
with Mike Gold

It’s time to unleash your creativity in a BIG way. Take a break from working small and make this a banner year by, you guessed it, painting a banner, a 16”x60" art banner! In this two-day workshop, you will be guided through the process from thumbnails to the finished design. By workshop’s end, you will have an archival-quality paper banner ready to hang in a show or your home. You will be provided with the paper and materials necessary to hang your work of art. This workshop is perfect for calligrapher/artists looking for a challenge and an opportunity to paint big, letter big and play big. As an added bonus, I will be bringing my big, broom-size brush for everyone to try out.

There will be a $25 supply fee for this workshop, which includes:

• Two (2) 16”x60” paper banners, prepared by Mike Gold before the workshop (140# cold press watercolor paper, ready to paint)

• One set of natural teak magnetic hangers

• Sumi ink and brushes to use on one of the banners or on butcher paper

• Spray varnish and fixative

• A variety of tools, brushes, pens, rollers, brayers, media to share
