Our annual All Members’ Show showcases the diversity of our collective, from beginners to experienced calligraphers. The 2019 exhibit is about abstract mark making and included pieces that are abstract but feel ‘calligraphic’ in nature. Examples include warm-up practice making marks that may be seen as ‘nonsense’ writing. This writing usually has a calligraphic feel to the line and often looks like words. Also included are marks made with calligraphic tools in an abstract way.
